Monday 17th December
In today’s lesson I looked at documentaries and thrillers for my reconstruction, the documentaries were based on the progression of thriller, codes and conventions of the genre, lighting typically used, angles and more. While searching for thrillers I looked at movies from various decades such as Silence of the lambs, SE7en, memento, get out, inception, the usual suspects, old boy, psycho, and Touch of evil, some of these I have already watched which made deciding what to work on easier.
Wednesday 19th
This lesson I learned about the impact of social media on teenagers and generation Z, the article I read listed several youths whose social media lives contrasted their real lives and the pressure to look a certain way, from what I read I wrote about my opinions on the topic and summarised what I read.
Monday 7th January 2019
Today I started planning my essay, I wrote key questions and answered them so I can put them together later on, this helped me breakdown my essay and I will be able to keep track of what I have in my answer. I looked at the key points in a template for assistance.
At the end of the day I uploaded the presentation of my specialist study on AI in film, I found the subject intriguing as it could change how we view movies in the future, there were also some ethical issues such as displaying actors who have passed on or aged and can’t play a specific role.
Tuesday 8th January
I used this lesson to observe scenes in the thriller movies I want to reconstruct, I watched and re-watched opening sequences, key scenes, and videos analyzing these topics while thinking about weather I could recreate it with the resources I have: lighting equipment, locations available, actors, sound equipment, money, and more. Some thrillers were set in a locations which I don’t have access to but may be able to replicate though not identically.
Monday 21st January 2019
In this lesson I completed my essay, I combined my notes ans plans from Microsoft online and downloaded it to a plagiarism website to make sure everything is good and my work wont be mistaken for someone else’ which scanned it as clear and original, however my essay is too long but I’m not sure how to shorten it as each paragraph is about a different point. I need to film my remake of shutter Island’s opening sequence but haven’t decided on suitable locations.

Today I went through my essay based on notes from a teacher, I included a beginning sentence and an improved clear conclusion that summarized my research; moreover I added more references of wider varieties which I had not done before. When including these changes to my blog I imported the pictures separately and copied and pasted my essay rather than having to go through many file formats to import everything as a JPEG.

Today I worked on recreating my mind-map in digital format. There was more freedom on how the space was used however I didn’t want everything to be squashed in the space.
Monday 4th February 2019
In today’s lesson I put the footage for my recreation together, while using YouTube I was able to solve minor issues while working on my editing, although there was a bit of buffering, after rendering the video played slowly, I applied many effects to change the lighting such as blue and brown to fix the orange dominated video. I also re watched the opening credits of Shutter island so I know where everything goes.
Tuesday 5th February
This lesson I completed the editing of my reconstruction, adding video transitions, and finalising the text with a change in colour and type as well as effects I learned on YouTube. Later on I began writing my summary, making note of the key parts in creating the reconstruction.
